Our asbestos transfer station is specifically designed to provide a convenient and secure location for individuals and businesses to dispose of their asbestos waste.

What We Accept

Our facility accepts the following types of asbestos waste (doubled bagged in 200-micron asbestos bags please!):

  • Asbestos-contaminated soil, soil with asbestos-containing materials, and asbestos-rich soil
  • Asbestos-containing construction materials, such as pipe insulation, ceiling tiles, and floor tiles
  • Asbestos-contaminated packaging materials, such as bags, boxes, and drums
  • Other asbestos-containing materials, such as roofing materials, joint compound, and fireproofing materials

How It Works

  1. Make a booking: Contact us to arrange a time and date to drop off your waste (or we can pick it up)
  2. Inspection: Our trained staff will inspect your materials to ensure they meet our acceptance criteria. We reserve the right to refuse any waste.
  3. Drop-Off: Bring your asbestos waste to our transfer station during our pre-agreed time and date. Our staff will assist you in weighing your ACM.
  4. Segregation: We will segregate the asbestos waste in WorkSafe approved Hazibags
  5. Documentation: We will provide you with a receipt and documentation of the disposal, which may be required for compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Proper Disposal: We will dispose of the asbestos waste in an approved landfill, in accordance with local and national regulations.

Safety Precautions

To ensure a safe and efficient disposal process, please follow these guidelines:

Contain the material in double wrapped 200-micron plastic bag plastic sheeting to prevent airborne fibers.

Label the material clearly as “Asbestos Waste” and attach any relevant documentation.
