Our Founders
Decades of Plumbing Experience
Our founders Jeremy and Racheal Cottam have extensive experience in the construction industry, having started their careers working for large companies such as CML Group, Boral Gas, and Dart Pipeline in New Zealand and Australia.
In 1999, they formed Flush Plumbing Limited in Auckland, which later grew into Offshore Plumbing Services Limited.

Dan Coulson
Site Manager - Certifying Drainlayer
Dan brings 20 years of experience in critical tasks such as open trenching, under boring, gas mains, and watermain construction in the South Taranaki region. His leadership on major projects showcases his ability to manage complex water infrastructure projects effectively.

Adam Barrett
Project Supervisor - Asbestos Removalist, PE Welder, Operator
At just 23 years old, Adam has already proven himself as a capable project supervisor, excelling in team leadership and creative problem-solving. His commitment to delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines has been instrumental in the success of several key projects. Currently, Adam leads a crew on projects valued at over $1.6 million, showcasing his adeptness at managing substantial responsibilities effectively.

Martin Mansouri
Project Manager - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering – Civil (Level 7 NZQA), CMEngNZ, CPEng
Martin’s decade-long career spans civil infrastructure design, installation, and project management across Asia and the Middle East. His expertise includes water mains, stormwater systems, and sewer pipelines, contributing significantly to OPS’s projects.

Safwan Mirza
Chief Operations Officer - Masters in Oil & Gas Engineering (L9 NZQA), Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering L7, NEC4ECC: Project Management Accreditation
Safwan has quickly grown through the ranks at OPS, from a site engineer to our Project & Contracts Manager, moving to COO in 2023, with a strong educational background in oil, gas, and construction. His expertise in project management and industry knowledge make him a valuable asset to the team.

Denay Cottam
Health & Safety Manager - Asbestos Removal Supervisor, NEC4 ECC: Project Management Accreditation, Diploma in Asset Management, Qualified Plumber, Gasfitter, Drainlayer & Water Technician
Denay Cottam is an experienced civil and oil & gas professional with a strong safety focus and over a decade leading complex projects across New Zealand, Malaysia, and Australia. He specialises in pipeline operations and infrastructure delivery, and is a certified asbestos removal supervisor known for his technical expertise and leadership.

Bryden Cottam
Operator - NZ Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Level 3), PE Welder, Operator
Since joining our team on November 16, 2020, Bryden has quickly risen to senior operator on our pipeline team, overseeing high-pressure gas main dig-ups and holding permits for clients across the North Island.
With a Class 5 truck licence and a 13-ton machine at his command, Bryden also contributes as a skilled water technician, applying his Level 3 Infrastructure Water Qualification with precision—making him a versatile and valued member of the team.

Richard Butler
Foreman - NZQA Certificate Level 4 Water Reticulation
Richard brings over a decade of experience in watermain contracts on busy roads, emergency repairs, and tie-ins, including work on pipe bridges and state highways. His role as foreman underscores his ability to manage complex projects effectively.

Ian Stothard
Site Manager - Certified Gas Fitter, Gas Network Operations Level 3 Pressure Control
With a background in project supervision, gas fitting, and plumbing in England, Ian started his New Zealand career in 2009. He has worked with companies like Electrix and Enzed on major gas installations and has contributed to gas reticulation projects in New Plymouth.

Neihana Rangitonga
Site Traffic Manager - STMS AB
Neihana brings over five years of hands-on experience in site traffic management, specialising in maintaining safe and efficient traffic flow on numerous state highways across Taranaki. His expertise ensures that every project runs smoothly, with minimal disruption to road users while prioritising safety at all times.

Matt Jones Sleep
Site Supervisor - Registered Drainlayer, NZQA Wastewater Level 4
Matt boasts 7 years of experience in water and wastewater construction, with significant expertise in capital projects and maintenance contracts, particularly on state highways. He recently led the Stratford Watermain renewals project as foreman, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.

Bobby Jones
Foreman
Bobby spent his early career in the oil and gas field in Australia. Moving back to New Zealand and Joining the OPS family over a decade ago. Current competencies for working with PE pipe Digger operator with extensive experience in working in and around busy road with multiple high-risk utilities on site. He understands the process for identifying risk and processes need to mitigate them while doing excavations.
